GUCCIO GUCCI

Guccio Gucci (1881-1953)

When we talk about fashion, we can mention Gucci one of it. This fashion company built in 1906 by Guccio Gucci and became an Italian fashion icon. Guccio Gucci was born in 1881, first time he ran his House of Gucci in Florence. He started this business from the bottom line, and horse saddle became his first product. In 1920, he sold a skin bag for horse riders.

To guarantee the quality, he only recruit expert man for his employees. When his business became famous, he spread the wing by open a boutique in 1938, at Rome. Since 1947, he produce a bamboo handy bag, until now this one become his top product. In 1950's he produce many kind of world class products.

His married with Aida Calvelli gave him six children. Soon, his children develops Gucci's business into international market. After his dead in 1953, his son, Aldo, expand Gucci's products by opened some boutique in London, Paris and New York.

On 1960's Gucci expand the business trough Far East Asia, Hong Kong and Tokyo. But, because of wrong decision by Aldo and Rodolfo Gucci, who controlled 50 percent of Gucci's business, make Gucci's business kingdom near to bankrupt. Slowly, they can passed the storm. Even, in 1979, Aldo develops Gucci Accessories Collection (GAC).

KEN KUTARAGI

Who doesn't know Play Station, a graphic electronic game machine from Japan, Sony. But do you know that Ken Kutaragi is the one who had a responsible to create "Play Station Generations"? Kutaragi was born on August 8th, 1950 in Tokyo. His family ran a publisher factory on that city. Since he was a kid, Kutaragi develops his mechanic skill on that factory.

After he graduate from college, Electronic Engineering, he start to works in Sony. He has a raising reputation in this company. He known as an incredible problem solver. His succeed projects, Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) and Digital Camera, for example.

He started his interest in game machine at the end of 1980's. One day he saw his daughter played a Famicom. His intuition in this opportunity on this business was so big. Unfortunately, Sony Managerial Boards wasn't interest on it. Then Katuragi creativity recognized by Nintendo and asked him to create a chip. Without permission form Sony, he create a design of SPC700 chip.

Finally, Sony knew what Kutaragi's secret project with Nintendo. He almost got fired, but CEO of Sony, Norio Ohga helps him. Ohga asked Kutaragi to his "side job" in Sony's name. Then Kutaragi asking for research fund to create Super NES CD, Play Station application technology.

Finally, in nineties, Sony published and sold Play Station. Soon This game becane famous and makes lot some money to Sony. In May 18th, 2004 data, Sony has produce 100 million units. Because of this success, Kutaragi were promoting as President of Sony Computer Entertainment in 1997.

TOKUJI HAYAKAWA

Tokuji Hayakawa (1894- 1980)

Tokuji Hayakawa, Sharp founder, was born in November 3th, 1883 at Nikonbashi, Tokyo. When his parents got sick, he adopted by Kumahachi in Fukugawa City. Since his age was 2 year, he never met his real parents.

On November 1901, a blind woman known as Inoue, recommend him to works with Yoshimatsu Sakata business. Tokuji got some lessons from Sakata. His boss said that to get succeed, Hayakawa should working so hard. He worked nearly a decade in this umbrella accessories factory.

In 1912, Tokuji invent a belt, named as Tokubi Lock a got a patent in this product. He got 120 yen from this belt business. In 1913, he has his second patent right by making a water crane. He has good finance on 1915, after he got a tender to made metal stationery. At the same time, he established Hayakawa Brothers Metal Stationery Factory with his brother. After eight year, this company made profit until 50.000 yen per month.

But it wont be long. An earthquake attacked Kanto. He lost his factory, also his wife and 2 sons. Luckily, he still has 10.000 yen and gold which price about 4.000 yen. Then he moved to Osaka. In this city he restart his business. In November 1924, he built Hayakawa Metal Industry Research Center.

With no electricity basic knowledge, he start to made a small radio on April 1929. After succeed with the radio, he made another electronic equipment, until he also produce television, refrigerator, etc. In 1970, he Changed his business company into Sharp Corporation.

TADAO KASHIO

Casio is a great name in calculator industry. In fact, at the beginning Tadao Kashio, founder of Casio Computer Co, started ran this business by producing calculator. Today his business kingdom, built on April 1946, prducing various electronic equipments.

Tadao Kashio was born in November 1917 at Nagoku City, Japan. Before his age was 2, he built a factory, named Kashio Seisakoju, which produce cigarette pipe. His has a good fortune in this business.

One day in 1949, he saw a business convention in Ginza, Japan with his younger brother. They had an enthusiastic with electric calculator. Then they start to made electric calculator. To start it, they used the profit of cigarette pipe business. In that time, calculator mostly used a gear and hand operating by using a machine. Then, they invent calculator by using solenoid. They finished this project on 1954.

This calculator became an attention in Japan at that time. This calculator, designed by Kashio, was the first mechanic electronic calculator in Japan. Also it was the first calculator which using 10 digit key pad. Then they produce a calculator, 14-A series, in 1957. It was the first compact calculator in the world.

In 1972, Casio produce a personal calculator, mini calculator, which price was 12.800 yen per unit. It sold more than 10 million units. In 1974, Casio produce Casiontron, an automatic calendar. Even, since 1980, casio produce a music electronic, keyboard, named Casiotone. Today, Casio not only known as a calculator producer.
